Playground Pitch at Plumcroft Primary School

Plumcroft Primary School in Plumstead, London, is a longstanding Playcubed favourite! Over the years, we have created multiple play spaces at this award winning school, which has seen it become renowned for it’s outdoor play provisions.

The school splits across three main levels, and this case study focuses on the playground pitch installed at the lowest area. The existing tarmac surface is made good and overlaid with UltraMat shock absorbing layer. This recycled matting gives a spring underfoot and improves the sports qualities of the finished surface. We then overlay the area with our ever popular MegaSport Artificial Grass. Following this, we add sports lineage marking the lines of several games.
