This brand-new purpose-built school for children with autism required four separate SEN playground areas for pupils aged 4-18 years. These areas needed to provide all pupils with the opportunity to develop physical and social skills in an outdoor environment whilst being safe and low-maintenance.

Through close cooperation with the school, a very creative and flexible play area was installed. Colourful safety surfacing forms a flowing effect through each play space, while Basket Swings, Inset Trampolines, mini MUGA and a Trim Trail all provide varied activities for a wide range of abilities, as well as being a SEN playground.

We believe all children should have the access to play, to heighten their imagination and their learning.

“It was really great to sit down with Playcubed. They have lots of ideas, lots of really exciting apparatus that we could incorporate. The best thing is that they’re experienced – they have experience in creating the most amazing environments for pupils. The children love their new playground. They can’t wait to get into school in the morning and come out to play!”
