Walking the nature path at Ibstock Place School

A nature path is great addition to your school and provides children with many unique experiences. Playcubed created this nature path and play area at Ibstock Place School in Putney, London. The school is fortunate to have a good amount of outdoor space, and to maximise this they wanted to create a path that would help engage the children with nature. Our playground designers created this exciting concept, featuring a timber decked pathway that leads the children on a nature journey. The pathway encircles the school’s pond, taking the children past growing planters, an outdoor classroom with a story telling chair, a wig-wam and a bespoke archway seating area. The pond was fenced off to control access. There is also a willow arch walkway, that when in leaf will provide children with a green tunnel of exploration.

The resulting space is full of opportunity and will provide many hours of enjoyable discovery. Nature play is a fantastic way to open the eyes of children to the world in front of them, and instill an appreciate and respect for nature.
